Share login access

🔥

Credentials represent the ability to log into, view, and modify data in the LAMP Platform. If you are given a Credential, you should take care to not to lose it or share it with others.

Step 1: Open the Credential Management dialog.

Tap the [Profile] icon at top right and select the Manage Credentials option from the drop-down menu. This will open the Credential Management interface where you will be able to add, reset, and delete Credentials.

You can change Credentials for users other than yourself if the following applies to you:

  • If you are a clinician: You may tap the key icon at the right of the patient's row to modify Credentials for an individual patient.
  • If you are a system administrator: You may tap the key icon at the right side of the clinician's row to modify credentials for a clinic or research study.

Step 2: Reset a Credential's Password

Once you've opened the Credential Management interface, select a Credential by tapping its bubble. Then, select Reset Password from the drop-down list. Once you've entered a new password, tap the check mark icon at the right side of the text box to save it.

⚠️

Resetting the password will immediately disable access for anyone who is currently logged in or using other features of the LAMP Platform. They will need to know the new password to continue using the LAMP Platform.

Step 3: Generate a login QR code and link.

Once you've opened the Credential Management interface, select a Credential by tapping its bubble. Then, select Reset Password from the drop-down list. Once you've entered the existing password, tap the save/floppy disk icon at the right side of the text box to open the share panel.

🔥

DO NOT press the check mark icon in this step or you will reset the password for this user.

⚠️

If the password you have entered is incorrect, you will not see an error message, but the link and QR code generated will be non-functional and redirect the login page when used, instead. We recommend you copy the link and test it in a private browsing or incognito window in your browser first, before sharing it with a participant or patient.

Now that you've generated one-time login access for the user, choose from the following options:

  1. Have the user bring their mobile device and scan the generated QR code using their camera app (supported on both iOS and Android devices).
  2. Share the link to someone via email or text message.
  3. Before a clinic visit or study visit, open the link or scan the QR code on an iPad or other mobile device you own, and hand this device to the patient or participant.
⚠️

Exercise caution when using the QR code or sign-on link generator as these methods instantly provide read and write access to the user's information in the LAMP Platform.
